My writing journey began in second grade when my story about a soccer-loving Easter bunny won an award. There was no turning back after that. During the rest of my childhood, I secretly wrote poems and stories. This habit later inspired my choice to major in English. After earning a Bachelors degree, I kept writing until my tales could no longer be contained in notebooks or on computer hard drives.

Cheered on by my incredible husband and our four rambunctious children, I dabble in a wide range of genres from picture books to science fiction. I often invent stories for my family during road trips to keep the rambunctiousness to a healthy level. However, I usually let my husband do the driving as I've been known to miss a turn or two while considering a plot twist.

The Questfields: A Summer in Yosemite is my debut novel.
